Jess Rimington
Executive Director & Founder
Growing up living on the road with her semi-nomadic family, Jess Rimington was exposed to the great challenges the United States faces as well as the beauty found in the country’s diversity and its people’s humanistic similarities. Later, Jess was mentored by Dr. Jane Goodall and exposed to the shared, global challenges our human society faces.
In 2005, Jess founded One World Youth Project and began her career as a social entrepreneur. Jess serves as Executive Director of One World Youth Project, building capacity to support the organization’s work, connecting with new university partners and fostering innovation within OWYP’s internal structure.
Jess is also the principal author of the 2006 UN Millennium Development Goal Curriculum for Secondary School. In 2008, she was named as a ‘Rising Talent’ by the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society. Jess has received Earth Island Institute’s Brower Youth Award and Do Something’s BRICK Award for her activism. She enjoys projecting finances on excel sheets, supporting OWYP’s team and dreaming BIG. Jess has a degree in Foreign Service and a Certificate in International Development from Georgetown University.
