Anjali Daryanani
Communications Director
Originally from India, born in the United States and raised in Hong Kong, Anjali Daryanani is the epitome of a third culture kid. She considers herself to be a product of today’s interconnected world; a world in which cultures are intertwined and economies are interdependent.
Yet, as she has experienced, it is the same world that rejects the voices of people in need, and the same world that allows injustices to be neglected.
In journeying across the Asian continent throughout her youth, and seeing the ugliest faces of poverty, disease, disaster and violence, Anjali grew up with many questions in mind. Among these, she continues to ask, how do we build a better future? How do we rid the world of conflict, and find ways to understand each other at the most fundamental levels?
When Anjali stumbled across One World Youth Project during her junior year at Georgetown University, she found what she was looking for. She was inspired by the OWYP team’s innovative approach to change education, so that the rising generation can see the world more clearly, with open minds and open hearts. As the Communications Director, Anjali is humbled by the responsibility to help bring OWYP to the world through extensive media work and social outreach. Anjali is excited to be a part of the ripple effect that OWYP will generate among youth worldwide.
