Brittany Patterson
Global Partnership Intern
Brittany is currently a senior at the University of Maryland, studying environmental science with a concentration in politics and policy and a citation in international studies. She has complimented her interest in international studies with her extensive travel experiences abroad. Among the most recent adventures are volunteer work at an orphanage in the Dominican Republic and a semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain this past spring. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer with friends, exploring different cuisines, and painting. In the future she plans to pursue a Master’s degree in international development with a focus on international education.
Miriam Ellis
Global Partnership Intern
Miriam Ellis received a dual degree in Global Studies and Communication Arts & Sciences from Pennsylvania State University-Berks campus. She has moved around several times and currently calls D.C. home. Miriam enjoys learning as much as she can about cultures and travelling, especially when those two aspects mix!
Eshe Hill
Media Outreach Intern
Eshe Hill is a sophomore government and politics & communication double major at University of Maryland, College Park. She is focusing in International Relations and Public Relations. She loves to travel and hopes to use her degree from Maryland to work overseas in a US Embassy. Although always running around to various activities, in her spare time, Eshe loves to go to DC with friends and try all different sorts of foreign food. After college she plans to get a Masters in International Policy and travel the world.
Naeemah Powell
Online Training Production Intern
Naeemah received her BA from Saint Augustine’s College in Raleigh NC in 2011. She studied theatre and film production. Within her four years at Saint Augustine’s College she performed in several theatre productions and directed four short films. She is a native of Washington, DC. She has an interest in social change within the media field. In her career she hopes to promote positive images of women on television. She currently volunteers at Sitar Arts Center as a video production teacher and at her church (Free Gospel Deliverance) in the broadcasting and television department base out of Washington, DC.
Laura Brady
Online Training Production Intern
Laura Brady is a graduate of the Broadcasting department at San Francisco State University. Since graduating, Laura traveled abroad doing videography work for music and dance festivals, and worked as a Production Assistant on projects in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Her insatiable desire for new experiences led her on a somewhat spontaneous road trip across the country. Washington DC ended up being her new home, and she has enjoyed every bit of the experience. In the future, Laura is determined to become a multi-camera television director.
